Physical Therapists
Darren Cady, MSPT, MBA, Owner
Darren Cady, MSPT, MBA, is a graduate of Springfield College, Springfield, MA. He is the President and Owner of SEFR. Darren is also the co-owner of Accelerated Sports Institute with Darren Holmes. ASI is a company providing sports performance training. He played 4 years of college lacrosse and won a National Championship in 1994 and was named All-American in 1995. He has a wife, Michele, and two kids, Jacob and Allison. His sister is also a Physical Therapist in Asheville. He loves spending time with his kids and working on his house. "I love what I do and look forward to providing a quality service to the people of Asheville for a long time."
Becky Davidson, PT, OCS
Becky Davidson, PT, OCS, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Oakland University in Rochester, MI. She contributes many years of experience gained in Detroit, Los Angeles, and Greenville, SC. Becky resides in Asheville, with her husband and two daughters. In 2005, she earned the prestigious board certification as an Orthopedic Specialist. Her passion is quality patient care. Becky enjoys the outdoors, reading, community volunteer work, and being with family and friends. "I am thrilled to be part of the SEFR team in Asheville. We have a great facility, a spirit of teamwork, and an emphasis on therapist education as we help the people of our community maximize their physical well being."
Tamara McEntire, MPT
Tamara McEntire, MPT, is a graduate of East Carolina University where she received her Master of Physical Therapy Degree. In addition she has her undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine from Catawba College and has used these skills in athletic training. She was a college athlete who played basketball for Catawba College. Tamara has continuing education in Maitland Upper Extremity and Spine. She is a Certified Vestibular Therapist. Tamara enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends.
Jeff Meadow, MPT
Jeff Meadow, MPT received his Masters degree in Physical Therapy from WCU. Jeff received his undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. Jeffís specific areas of interest are young athletes and increasing their performance. Jeff is a native of Asheville and enjoys spending free time with friends and family, traveling, playing basketball and mountain biking.
Miriam Nelson, MPT, COMT
Miriam Nelson, MPT, COMT, is a graduate of East Carolina University where she received her Master of Physical Therapy Degree. She is a certified orthopedic manual therapist for the treatment of spine and peripheral joint dysfunction. Miriam also specializes in foot/ankle rehabilitation and biomechanics including running/gait analysis and foot orthotics fabrication. Miriam was born in Gulfport, MS and attended UNC-Chapel Hill where she became an avid Tarheels basketball fan. She enjoys hiking and biking with her husband and two dogs.
Wesley A. Miller, MPT
Wesley A. Miller, MPT, is a graduate of the University of Evansville Master of Physical Therapy program in Indiana. He came on with Southeastern Fitness and Rehabilitation in 2004, and since then has specialized in in the management and rehabilitation of high level athletes at Acceleration Sports Institute, a sports performance facility in Asheville and upstate South Carolina, biomechanics of cycling and injuries, custom foot orthotics fabrication, and is an advocate for his patients and profession through the North Carolina Physical therapy Association. When not in the clinic, Wesley spends far too much time outdoors mountain biking, hiking through the Blue Ridge Mountains, and is currently training for the Black Mountain Marathon with his faithfull training partner, his dog, Bea.

Andy Smith, DPT, MTC, Rehabilitation Coordinator
Andy Smith, DPT, MTC, is a graduate of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He is a certified manual therapist (Paris approach) for treatment of spinal and peripheral joint and soft tissue dysfunction. Andy graduated from the University of Georgia with a BSEd in Exercise and Sports Science, and still enjoys ìcalling the dawgsî on Saturdays every Fall. Andy, along with his wife Maresa, are new arrivals to the Asheville area. Andy grew up in Fitzgerald, Georgia where his family still resides. When not in the clinic, Andy enjoys playing tennis hiking and spending time with his two golden retireivers.

Bryanna Chambers, PTA
Bryanna Chambers, PTA, is a native of Canton, NC. She graduated from WCU in 2000 with a bachelor of Science in Biology. In May 2004 she graduated from Southwestern Community College with an Associate in Applied Science as a PTA. Her special interests with physical therapy include orthopedic and sports physical therapy. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family and being involved in church activities.
Amy Little, PTA
Amy was born in Sarasota Florida. She went to Manatee Community College where she graduated from physical therapy assistant school. In her youth she spent a majority of her time in the pool. She has been working in Aquatics for 6 years. Her hobbies include running, swimming, Pilates and Nia.
Heather Edney, PTA
Heather Edney, PTA, graduated from Southwestern Community College in 2001 with an Associate of Applied Science. Recently coming from Haywood Regional Medical Center, she brings with her a broad background of experience ranging from wound care to orthopedics. Specializing in aquatic therapy, she enjoys seeing the benefits and great results that this brings to her patients. Heather is excited about joining SEFR to further her interests in sports rehabilitation. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, redecorating her home and spending time with her husband Jeremy.
Mary-Jane Davis, PTA
Mary-Jane graduated from North Central State College in 1998 with an Associate of Applied Science as a PTA. Specializing in aquatic therapy and spinal fusion lumbar/cervical therapeutic core strengthening, Mary-Jane appreciates seeing the benefits and results this brings her patients. She and her husband enjoy assisting children with disabilities thru therapeutic equine riding. . In her spare time she takes pleasure in gardening and spending time with her family and her horses.
Occupational Therapist
Maresa Smith is a 2002 graduate of the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences where she obtained her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Since that time she has had the opportunity to work with a variety of patient populations including orthopedic and neurologically impaired children and adults. Her primary interests include treating upper extremity injuries and splinting. Maresa is originally from Atlanta, GA and is also a 2000 graduate of the University of Georgia. She and her husband Andy, who works as a physical therapist, recently moved to the Asheville area. While not at work she enjoys hiking, running, and spending time with her golden retriever, Boone.
