Yoga

We offer a variety of Yoga classes at SEFR. Please see the current schedule or call for more information. Gentle Yoga (GY) - Designed for all students—beginner to advanced—who enjoy a slower paced, therapeutic class. Breathing techniques are introduced to facilitate breath awareness and relaxation. This class includes basic strengthening and stretching using props, as needed, to enable each student to perform poses safely and comfortably. This is the perfect class to begin your Yoga path.

Anusara-style Yoga (ASY) - Designed for all levels, this Anusara-style class is particularly helpful for beginners and those who want to learn the basics.

Gentle Flow Yoga (GFY) - This class consists of a combination of gentle flowing poses and breathwork. A basic knowledge of Yoga poses is helpful.

Yoga I & II (Y I & II) - A blend of Iyengar-style, which focuses on alignment and safety, and gentle Flow Yoga along with breath awareness exercises. Healthy beginners through advanced are welcome.

Flow Yoga (FY) - Designed for students acquainted with Yoga who enjoy a more challenging practice, this class (sometimes referred to as “Moving Meditation”) focuses on moving the body fluidly through a variety of poses incorporating breath awareness to cultivate mental focus and clarity, followed by deep stretching and core strengthening, and ending with a quiet time of relaxation. This class is for you if you are familiar with most standing poses, want to gain strength and flexibility, but at the same time desire to find that quiet place between your thoughts.
